Kia Motors America knows how important it is to educate young drivers. After all, they're more likely to get into an accident, and some don't have the opportunity to get all of the driving tips they need. That's why the brand has partnered with the B.R.A.K.E.S. organization to aid in this process.
Michael Sprague, executive vice president, marketing & communications for Kia Motors America (KMA), explains the importance of the brand's contributions to the organization and overall community, stating, "KMA is committed to giving back to the communities in which we do business. Our partnership with B.R.A.K.E.S. will help teens learn to respond quickly and confidently to real-world driving scenarios through advanced training techniques to help ensure their own safety and that of others on the road."1
As part of its partnership, Kia with both provide a fleet of 32 new Kia vehicles and feature the program's logo on its No. 38 Pirelli World Challenge Kia Optima Turbo race car for the remainder of this season.
B.R.A.K.E.S. is a charity based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. To-date, it has provide driving courses for over 8,000 students in Canada and the U.S. As part of its free program, B.R.A.K.E.S. offers students almost four hours of hands-on training with a great deal of personal attention, thanks to a three-to-one student-teacher ratio.
