It happens to pretty much everyone at some point. You are driving down the road in Midlothian and get a flat. While some situations may call for a professional, it is important to have the know-how to also do it yourself. First, make your workspace as safe as you can. Try to park on a hard, flat surface, if possible. You will also want to turn off your engine, engage the parking brake, and use wheel chocks to secure the wheels on the opposite side of the vehicle.

Loosen your lug nuts prior to lifting the car, but do not remove them yet. Next, lift up your vehicle by following the directions that came with your jack. Remove the flat. Put on your spare or compact tire and secure it with the lug nuts.

Carefully lower your vehicle back down. If you have a compact, it is not meant to be driven for long distances. Visit the team here at Hyman Bros. Kia to properly replace the tire and for all your other automotive service needs.
