The North American International Auto Show in underway now in Detroit, and with it comes Cars.com's annual Best of Awards show. According to Kia's press release from earlier today, the 2017 Kia Sportage, keys longest running nameplate, earned the honor of being named "Best New Compact SUV" of 2017. In order to be eligible for a nomination, vehicles must be all-new or fully designed for the 2017 model year. Winners in their respective categories are those that score highly in three key criteria: quality, innovation, and value.
