Here at Hyman Bros. Kia in Midlothian, we recommend that you use windshield wiper fluid for cleaning away all the junk that can accumulate on your windshield and obstruct your view of the roadway. For best results, we do not recommend that you put plain old water into your vehicle's windshield wiper fluid system. Here's why:
- Water will freeze up in cold weather. Windshield wiper fluid contains antifreeze and can be used in winter weather conditions.
- Water alone is not enough to get all the dirt, grime, bugs, and other road debris cleaned off of your windshield. Wiper fluid is specially designed with solvents and detergent that can more easily scrub the grime away.
- Water that becomes stagnant in your vehicle's windshield wiper fluid reservoir can become a health risk if harmful bacteria begin to grow in it.
