While Kia definitely trades in the near-luxury market with its two top-shelf models—the Cadenza and K900—it does it in a way unique in its market. Where other models seek to reach higher, Kia’s models take everything the brand is good at, and then add luxury, and an accessible price tag. In the case of the 2017 Cadenza, it’s come off quite well.
The Cadenza of 2017 is all-new, soup to nuts, but there are some familiar finishes. For example, the Kia UVO infotainment system returns, as does the 290 horsepower 3.3-liter V6. The rest of the car is new. The suspension tuning has been revised to make the car more confident when cornering, and also offering stellar straight-line acceleration. Those who opt for the top trim can get a lavish leather wrapped heated steering wheel.
