Many changes have been made over the years by South Korean automaker, Kia, that has helped propel the brand to where it is today. A strong dedication to quality, performance and comfort are well-exemplified within the new Kia lineup for the 2014 model year.
For today's blog post, we would like to direct your attention to the all-new 2014 Kia Sportage.
As was the case with other models within the 2014 Kia lineup, the Sportage was technically not due for a redesign, if anything, just a mid-cycle refresh. Regardless, the model now offers many new and exciting upgrades sure to please our Richmond, VA area drivers.
As a long running name plate for Kia, the Sportage is a very versatile, customizable model with a newly-updated 2.4-liter GDI inline-four engine, three unique trim grades and a whole lot more.
The top-line trim, the Kia Sportage SX, features a stronger engine than its counterparts, the LX and EX, housing a 2.0-liter turbo GDI. Both new powertrains have been optimized to offer improved fuel economy for the Sportage.
Fuel savings were not the only focus for the drivetrain. Kia engineers also made tweaks to improve the comfort and handling of the Sportage by making improvements to the steering column and other areas of the drive shaft over all three trim levels.
