With the 2014 Kia Cadenza, the South Korean automaker is taking steps to enter a more luxurious portion of the market. Taking a page out of other luxury automakers' books, like BMW, which offers free services for this vehicle at 50,000 miles or 4 years, whichever comes first, Kia recently announced that this complimentary scheduled maintenance program would be available for the new Cadenza mid-size sedan.
John Crowe, vice president of service and after sale operations for Kia Motors America, explains, "The Cadenza competes in a class in which customers have higher expectations for their ownership experience. Our complimentary scheduled maintenance program - a benefit many would not have previously associated with the Kia brand - fulfills those expectations."1
The Kia free service program covers the first five factory-scheduled service sessions and is applicable for 36 months or 37,500 miles. In the United States, the Cadenza is offered with a 3.3-liter engine that produces 293 horsepower and 255 lb./ft. of torque that's paired with a six-speed automatic transmission that drive the front wheels. Prices start at $35,100 (not including an $800 destination fee).
