Cars.com, a well-liked source for purchasing and selling new and used vehicles reccently ranked the 2013 Kia Optima as the United States' "Most Affordable Midsize Sedan." We were pleased to hear the great news here at Pence Kia, though many of us can't honestly say we were all that surprised.

Cars.com's Editor-in-Chief, Patrick Olsen, sums up our feelings on the Optima while stating why the sedan ranked so high in their survey. He states, "The Optima topped the list because of its combination of great features, low price and impressive estimated five-year fuel cost. With an estimated $9,750 in fuel cost over five years, the Optima topped out at just $32,975, which is more than $3,000 lower than the average midsize sedan for the same period of time."1

To be a contender in the survey, vehicles had to offer features including USB and Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, automatic transmission, power windows/drivers seat and a backup camera. Additionally, the vehicles five-year estimated fuel cost also factored into the mix.

The 2013 Kia Optima LX trim with the Convenience Plus Package ($23,225), was the particular make/model/trim to top the list. Following closely behind in 5th place (with a tested price of $27,400) was the Kia Optima Hybrid LX which also sported the Convenience Package.
